The hotel is nestled in the Sonoran Desert, and offers excellent meeting facilities, comfortable guest rooms, a championship golf course, a full-service spa, as well as several pools and lazy river - all in a family-friendly setting close to the lively Kierland Commons. The RDD room block extends three days before and after the conference (subject to hotel availability) so you can lengthen your stay.

Expect sunny and dry days with cooler evenings in the desert climate. In May, daytime temperatures usually range from 85° to 95°F (29° to 35°C), dropping to around 60°F (16°C) at night.

We suggest flying into Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX), which is approximately 20 miles by car from the hotel. Transportation to the hotel via Uber, Lyft or taxi typically costs $45 to $60.

Starr Pass Guest RoomGuest rooms at the Westin Kierland have been reserved for conference attendees at group rates of US $339 per night (single or double occupancy), which includes the Resort Fee (currently $50). Room tax plus sales and local taxes currently totaling 13.07% will be added to your bill.

Guest rooms will be assigned during check-in unless you elect to pay an additional fee at time of reservation to guarantee room type (King or 2 Queen Beds) or a room with a specific view.

Guests may extend their stay at the RDD room rate up to three days before and after the conference dates (May 7-May 17, 2025), based on hotel availability at the time of booking.

  • To avoid a one night’s room and tax charge, reservations must be canceled at least seven (7) days prior to scheduled arrival. No-shows will also be charged for one night's stay.

  • All reservations require a one-night room deposit or guaranteed payment using a major card.

  • An Early Departure Fee may be charged if you check out of the Hotel prior to your scheduled departure date, without having notified the Hotel at check-in of the change in scheduled departure.

  • If you make a hotel room reservation but do not register for RDD 2026, your hotel reservation may be cancelled.

Additional Information

  • The maximum number of persons per room is four people; add $25 for triple occupancy and $50 for quad occupancy. Children ages 18 and under will not be charged so long as they are in the same room as their parents and total occupancy of room does not exceed five people. 

  • Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out is 11:00 a.m.

  • All rooms are non-smoking and include coffee and bottled water and other amenities consistent with the Westin brand resorts.

  • Access to the fitness center, resort pools and lazy river are complimentary for registered guests.

RDD has negotiated a 10% discount on a round of golf at the daily rate for RDD attendees, which includes greens fees for 18 holes, cart fee, and use of driving range. Discounted rates are valid May 7 through May 15.
