General Technical Data

Much of the information RDD Online collects from customers and visitors who access our corporate website is general in nature. We collect information, using tracking software, on traffic patterns, including other websites that serve as exit/entry points, the identities and locations of organizations through which our users access our website, navigation routes through the site, and the number of times each page is visited. No cookies are used to gather this information, and no other customer-specific information is obtained automatically. This information is generally viewed in the aggregate, and gives us an idea of what areas of interest our customers and visitors are pursuing when they come to our site. Personally Identifiable Information

There are several locations on the RDD Online website that allow customers and visitors to submit comments or requests online via a form template or e-mail. These submissions are completely voluntary, but most require the customer or visitor submit some identifying information such as a name and/or e-mail address. This information is primarily used to accomplish the customer's or visitor's purpose in making the particular submission, whether it is a request for further information about our products and services, a technical support question, product enhancement suggestions etc. Secondarily, this information is added to our mailing database to provide further information about RDD Online products and services. Passwords and user IDs entered by customers to access online publications are used to ensure that only customers with valid subscriptions are accessing the products, and to track dates and times of access to those updates for license compliance purposes.

Financial Details

The RDD Online website does not itself request, store or process any visitor's financial details. When a visitor wishes to make a payment online by credit card, they are transferred to a secure environment hosted by a third party. The RDD Online website may pass to the credit card processor information which is required to prevent the visitor from having to re-enter such information, e.g. Name, Billing Address, etc. The RDD Online website only receives from the credit card processor site whether an online payment has been successful or not and a reference number.

Any Financial Details handled by RDD Online staff (for example, in order to process payments by Wire Transfer, Offline Credit Card, etc) are handled in a secure manner.

RDD Online does not sell, share or disclose to outside parties any personally identifiable information obtained, with the exception of the associated Respiratory Drug Delivery conference series, organized by Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy, for mailing purposes. If you do not wish to receive information relating to the Respiratory Drug Delivery conference, you should send an email to RDD Online to have your details removed from this mailing list. RDD Online reserves the right to disclose any information, if such action is necessary to conform to the requirements of law, or to protect and defend the legal rights or property of RDD Online, the website or its users.

Security

RDD Online protects all information it holds from unauthorized disclosure, alteration, or use through our internal management policies and procedures. This includes educating our employees on the importance of keeping customer information confidential. Our RDD Online electronic publications require input of a valid user ID and password issued by RDD Online before access is granted. As with your user IDs and passwords for all software programs, you should keep these identifiers in a secure location and only disclose them to others with a need to know. You should also make sure to sign off when you are finished using the site to prevent unauthorized access.
