Orbia Fluor & Energy Materials currently supplies medical propellant for use in around 75% of the world’s metered dose inhalers (MDIs). Zephex® 152a is its low global warming potential (GWP) propellant from its Zephex® brand, shown to result in a significant reduction in carbon footprint (>90%), making a Zephex® 152a containing pMDI comparable to other sustainable technologies, including dry powder inhalers, when accounting for manufacturing, use and disposal.
