Abstract:
Mimetikos Preludium implements a number of literature algebraic lung deposition models and extends them to pharmaceutical aerosols in a comprehensive software that is available for licensing. Regional lung deposition is calculated based on known or assumed characteristics of the subject, the inhalation maneuver and the aerosol. Post-deposition, dissolution, mucociliary clearance (MCC), and absorption are simulated in parallel to provide the input function to a user-defined systemic disposition and clearance model.
