Abstract:
Although nasal products to treat central nervous system (CNS) conditions have been around for a number of years, recent developments have brought renewed interest to this market. Repurposing drugs for nasal delivery has already proven successful and many opportunities still exist in this area due to unmet medical needs. Several challenges have to be met during development including formulation, selection of an appropriate drug delivery device, and preparation of a suitable regulatory approach in order to assure success.
